For Spring/Summer 2019, HOLLAND & HOLLAND have transported their resolute British practicality into new territory, taking inspiration from golden desert palettes, and exotic, arid climes.
The spirit of adventure fundamental to the house is amplified anew: this is a collection that adopts its cues from distant landscapes, designed to suit their intrepid exploration.
“This is a brand that travels. We scour the world looking for beautiful, remote places interlinked by their nature – and these wide, open landscapes are at the very heart of the brand.”
One-piece jumpsuits have evolved from traditional work wear, and profoundly practical rip-stop anoraks are interspersed with light cotton shirtdresses and dusty, feminine hues. Familiar silhouettes are developed and adapted to suit their purpose – a dramatic trench coat now rendered in stormproof, sandy cotton; cashmere blends lightened for summer; elegant tailoring given a safari twist.
In collaboration with the renowned manufacturers Linton Tweeds, the house’s heritage fabrics are reinvented using a uniquely-developed linen blend: at once speaking to the house codes and the conditions of the season.
This is British tradition seen from a new perspective – clothing designed to travel the furthest reaches of the globe.
